When I was in high school I got a TI-83 as part of my maths class. I spent a lot of time programming it. And even taught myself enough C to write a barcode generator program because I was unsatisfied with the performance of my BASIC implementation. Unfortunately those programs are lost to the sands of time, but it sparked an interest in programming that continues today. When I started university I replaced the TI-83 with a TI-89, which I still have and use today. For some reason I've recently gotten interested in calculators and have acquired a Voyage 200, PicoCalc, and have started working on my own basic calculator. Despite the name, there isn't currently decent calculator software for it, which I'd love to see. I'd also like to try using the PicoCalc as a Meshtastic node. I've bought a LoRA WAN board for it to try this in the future. |
